Swartswood State Park, Newton, NJ

Ok, so it's only 35 minutes from my home, but it was a good maiden voyage.  I actually managed to only forget two things, a coffee mug, and something to carry water in.  Fortunately there is a Walmart less than 10 minutes from the campsite so I was able to pick up a one gallon drink container that I can use to hold iced tea or whatever in the future.  I have a 5 gallon jug with a spigot that I left at home.  <cry>

The weather was very chilly, and there were some very severe wind gusts, as you can see in the second picture down in the left column.  A branch fell down on my car and dented my hood. <cry again>

I slept like a baby, and even though the weather was chilly, I was perfectly comfortable in my teardrop.  I noticed when I got up at 3am to go to the bathroom, that the air outside the tear was probably a good 10 degrees cooler.  Note to self.. don't drink so much Pepsi before bed.

There was only one other camper in the campground, and they were in a 24' travel trailer with a popout side.  Not really camping as far as I'm concerned!
